it's just heat shrink, ya.heavy duty shrink wrap?
I have a length of rope shroud on my synth line at the drum. If the shroud peeks out the fairlead, then I'm at the end of workable rope. I took my old synth line to a shop and they made me two extensions from the remaining good lengths of rope. I think I have 100' on the drum and two lengths of about 40-50' for extensions.it's just heat shrink, ya.
i ended up almost running the line off the drum the other day. 100' of rope really isn't that much.
i needed to add some kind of indicator. this came to me while I was thinking about putting a piece of red tape or heat shrink on the line to show.
i don't think not having this fully sewn will be any sort of issue.
