back at it. this is #4 or #5 on this stupid twin stick.
i noticed while we were on the road the interior twin boot waz torn (rotten)
finally got my part yesterday. was at my mail forward. just slacking picking it up.
Anyway tear it out.
find the inner boot fubar (<2 yo)

so i took another hour or better out of my life to rebuild this fücking twin stick again.
i actually cut the sticks completely off the shift selectors. widened that gap and canted the sticks a bit. maybe now im done fücking with it. probably not though because this rubber is garbage. on that note, do any jeep guys know where to buy a good version of the D18 and D300 boots? two years is absolute horseshît.

Where did you get weighed around here? I'm looking to weigh my 80 to know how awful it is on the trailer
im just using the scale on 140 past the drag strip. the one on table rock by the dump is typically on too. i get flashbacks there so i use 140 :flipoff2:

That's just about a mile from me. Guess I'll head there.

@gnob My wife saw your winch line and now I have to buy that for her Sequoia

made it 13 years. finally broke down and rewired the starter through a relay. that click click bs gets old quick.
adding, rewiring the stock relay, and/or starter contacts clear up 99% of your Toyota starter nonsense.
blue sea mini panel and odyssey ftw :flipoff2:

minute mod.
alternator bracket can potentially contact the rag joint if the steering shaft isn't in the perfect spot.
shortened up a different bracket.
was considering making a new uhmw rag, but my material wasn't the right size.

building a short throw shifter.
combine a 2wd and 4wd tower. add 1 3/8" to the stick.
needs welded and final fit.

not much new on this guy.

went on a random recovery today via Offroad Recovery Portal - https://offroadportal.org/

out of the tiller area. no one i know. no one hurt. another volunteer came in a 2010 tacoma. it took both winches to get it up the super soft cut bank.

i always joked about pulling the 4Runner up a tree...
