So removing the Pistons became a bit of a PITA. The caliper leaked fluid all over the fresh paint and I ended up separating the caliper halves to help dislodge those puppies. After all that and a wrecked paint job, I said screw it. I am powder coating these suckers. No more peeling paint from fluid touching them. Here are some pics of how that turned out. I had some extra Red PC from my lockout hub dials, besides it needed a bit of flash.

One more caliper to go. While I was letting the PC bake I went to work on disassembling the second caliper. However I managed to pull a bonehead move. I had been using compressed air to help push out the Pistons, then boom! One shot out across the garage. Loud as hell and landed square in my hood chipping my paint.

my paint guy told me the same thing. Don't try to paint it, just drip it into the chip and let it spread out. I haven't tried it yet.

stinker about the paint... should look good when fixed... at least you got the 1st scratch out of the way... and it was you who did it :)

A tree made the 1st scratch on my new fenders MANY years ago (well maybe more like a very large dent lol ) ... but.... those fenders eventually rusted away and were replaced a few years ago :meh:

keep up the good work!!! ... well.. except for the flying piston thing :)
