Thanks for the compliments guys! Keeps me going. Getting so close to the finish line. Today I am tackling the disk conversion. I tore it all apart yesterday and cleaned up the knuckle stew. Now it's all shinny and ready to be clearanced for the mini truck birfs. Stopped by Wally World this morning for a fish scale and DanHJ lent me his knuckle centering tool.

Almost forgot to mention the sad part. My calipers don't fit vented rotors. So I ended up replacing them with Napa calipers from a 1976 fj40. I think the calipers were from early mini truck non vented rotor calipers. So no more pretty red calipers. Oh well, I will powder coat them when I do the next front brake job.

busted the inner birf clips while using the pipe method to remove the main axle shaft. Worked like a charm except it destroyed the clips and I for got to order some new ones, but lucky for me I also had to remove the axle shafts from the donor minitruck birfs. This time I used the pipe method a little more gently and salvaged two of the inner clips for use.
