I have volunteered to help freshen up our webpage and we have also launched an official Facebook page Olde North State Cruisers | Facebook that we will use to advertise events and meetups to help grow the club as well as get better communication. I have a few ideas that I am going to do on the website modernize it a little bit @GLTHFJ60 has it setup in the best way you can for a website in my opinion already with the design and the where its housed so we are good to go there. What I will be doing is freshening and cleaning up. What I am asking of everyone else is ideas and things they think are good and bad as I do it as well as content that we can put on social media and the webpage both will go hand in hand I will most likely set it up to have an club content that is updated on the web page automatically published on the Facebook page where I can.

Does anyone have the photos from the different events from last year i.e. Portsmouth Island Trip, Logans Run, Hurricane Creek in a share drive they can share with me?

Yep. This is all that I've been to in 2016.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has liked the new page and sharing our events I think this will be a big thing for us this year. Here is a little bit of insight into what we have done in less than a week of the page going live.

Thank you still alot of work ahead I am coming into the the last couple of weeks for the QTR for work once we hit April I can take some time and really modernize it some more and add some new sections. Possibly even do an online journal/magazine we can update QTRLY.

i subed a while back, anyone post anything or did it fall off my feed

Did we want to put the club local meetings on the facebook event calendar? Might help drive people to the club if they see meetings scheduled on facebook and then subsequent pictures of people hanging out at them.

I'm happy to help coordinate the meeting "event" setups. Triad's is the 1st Tuesday of every month, the location switches between Winston Salem and GSO.

You posted those on the group page, rather than the page page...

Group page:
Log into Facebook | Facebook

Page page:
Olde North State Cruisers

Not sure why we need a page and a group - but it would appear by the "we reached 200 members" that the site we're focusing on is the Page, rather than the group. On the group page, anyone can create an event.... Such as you have.

On the page page... only the admins can. which is why I was asking.

Along these lines, we are now in the market for a new website administrator. It's turning into more work that I can reasonably handle with my other workloads, personal and work related.

Responsibilities include:

1. Occasionally (once a quarter or so) putting up posts about what's going on in the club, typically after events.
2. Implementing the event registration webpages for Relic Run and Logan's Run. Both event pages are templated, with PayPal shopping cart integration for processing payments. All that's really needed moving forward is implementing features that the BOD comes up with and updating event pages with sponsors.
3. Clicking "Update" for the wordpress site whenever you feel like it.

Our page runs on Wordpress and is hosted by a managed hosting company BlueHost. None of that will change, I'm just looking for someone to set up and maintain the website for events and the time inbetween. Most is automated, but what's left I need someone else to take over.

I would prefer someone who's local (aka lives in NC and is a member in good standing) and has a good IT background. No offense, but I'm not looking to handhold someone through everything outside of a meeting or two to hand over the keys. I would have asked Josh but he just moved out of town.

I would have done it but I agree with someone in state its cool with the facebook part of it to do some live events like logans run I planned on going live but the move cut that short.

I've added our CLT meeting events to FB calendar. Guessing I've done it right since people have left messages there. Is there something else I should be doing?

Yes this would be a nice idea the campaigns we ran for Logan's run and CCR seemed very successful I havent pulled all of the analytics on those yet but just out of the responses I was constantly notified about it really was a big winner during those campaigns we saw a spike in page likes and follows as well as shares of the events to different off road and toyota groups.

Would anyone be interested in helping to manage the Facebook page and messages? I'm no longer a NC resident so it's only fair it is someone in the state answering membership and event questions.
