Be careful if you smell gas. 15 workers (Fire, EMS, Gas Co.) were injured in NJ today at this explosion. As someone who has been around a few gas leaks, this video was a wake up call.

dayum.

Double dayum, that is some really scary stuff there.

RR for the working man.

Rice I hate you, not 5 minutes ago we were looking at a red and black. I am thinking this is maybe a bucket list truck for me. Like when I am 70 and have hit the lotto :) I'll stick with the single cab, love the 5 window

I'd really like to do a pick up with a coil/bag 4 link rear and crown vic front axle. Something like a built LQ9 and a six speed. My customers can afford nicer trucks than I can :)

Question for consideration:

How long does it take after turning the engine off to get an accurate oil level read on the dipstick? I know it's different for various engines and maybe even by what temp the oil was at. Just trying to gauge a comfort level.

On everything I have driven recently, by the time I have finished with a fill up, I am good to go. This goes for the 3B, 3UR-FE, and the Cummins ISC in our RV. Granted, a fill up in the RV takes much longer. This is if the oil is at "operating temp".

I have found with the wide, flat oil pan in the 200, I have to be careful with slope. I have to be dead level to get a reasonable reading.

However long it takes to check the forum and drink some beer?

As Sam said, largest two factors are how level the truck is and then the oil temp.

As mentioned, I would pay more attention to level. Since most folks can be happy with a half quart one way or the other what little bit drains down after the first few seconds isn't much to speak of. I keep the 40 one quart low all the time anyway but only because it has an 8 quart pan and helps keep windage down.

Yup ... For the 73

Just ordered this week so am anticipating it will be long gone from my memory and will then have a surprise package.

Got mine a good while back.

Yup...they turned out better than expected. Had to get two :)

Y'all ever find something missing and wonder "how long have I been driving like this"?

That's not a good thing, Jeremy
I've got one if you need it.
