I was fortunately close enough to visit an 80 series at the copart lot in china grove. it saved me from making a big mistake. white ome lifted 80, arb bumper , 35s on it. wasnt quite the deal the 5 pictures portrayed. Donated vehicle. what wasnt rusted underneath was coated in oil it. 35s were about 9 or 10 years old.

and it was a biohazard. had been parked under a tree near Boone. mold, mold, mold, and mildew where there wasnt mold. I was looking at a max of 1000 to 1500 tops prior to looking at it. it sold for almost 5k

if youre close enough, go look in person

i don't know some dumb state law/regulation on what you can buy.

Without a business licenses, you will need a Broker's help to bid on clean and salvage titled vehicles

probably more trouble than its worth.

We went under contract for a small home in Pittsboro with an attached 24x24 2 car and a large 24x44 detached garage/shop/car port combo this last week.

Super excited - - need to offload our current house now LOL. Anyone in the market for commercial 1912 Historic home/property in downtown Pittsboro? :p

I hope so. By the time folks really come back, we won't be far out from the hotel coming. Looking at some other commercial opportunities.

it's worth it
I use a broker in New Jersey Alpine Auto
easy to setup
you only need to put a deposit for 10% of what you plan to bid on

I have purchased tons of stuff
a few months back purchased a super clean 1981 FJ40 with factory air and AC from the insurance company
minor rollover damage

I can help with what I've learned over the past few years

what is the fee for a broker? maybe a 1k purchase.

depends on what state the auction is located and the type of title
some states require brokers
if you can purchase direct then you can setup an account on copart and bid without a broker.
if a broker is required the. you will need to pay the broker their fees
there is a minimum amount you have to put down as a deposit. it was $400 but looks like it may now be $600. it will credit back to your card at the end of the month

that kind of what i was reading. too many fees for what i was looking at. thanks for the info.

This guy pulled up next to me at Target yesterday. Trailer is probably overloaded but best of all he had ZERO straps. When he came to a stop the truck moved back and forth almost a foot...bouncing off his batteries). He did have a winch but it wasn’t connected either. Super legit towing job for sure. If it fits it ships!
