They build the cannon at General Dynaics in south Burlington VT (formerly GE formerly Martin-Marietta). There is a National Guard range in Jehrico or there about. It sits generally adjacent to the Bolton Country Club. I was in the middle of a back swing when I learned they test fire the A10’s cannon at that range.

as a young teen, we would camp at the Avon park air force range near sebring, fl. we got to watch a10s, f4s and f16s strafe box trucks. between flights, we were able to walk ON the limestone roads within the range and pick up brass. we were instructed to pick up only flat brass, and nothing that was nosed in or buried. because, as the sgt said, "that's got heavy depleted uranium slugs at the business end, and if they're armor piercing, they are damn sure 12 yearold snot nose little s*** piercing". I still have some in a box somewhere in the attic.

BRRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTT
They would use our tank formation in the staging area in Kuwait for gunrun practice during the weeks leading up to the invasion of Iraq in '03. Just simulated attack flying which was fun to watch at first, though a little uncomfortable knowing you were in a sight, but the jet noise got old fast. I also did not appreciate all the attention called to our position as we were the closest to the border.

Off topic, but that's the point of chat, right?

If you've ever wondered (from a physics point of view) what all the sensors in your cell phone are capable of doing this is a slick app.

This will be me when the quarantine extends in to the winter months and to avoid the marshal law road blocks I take the defender over the lake to get some beer.

Yep.... that's exactly how I see it going as well.... minus the large hand of God that scoops me back up.... maybe one that just makes sure I stay down... LMAO

Is this the game where I try to guess whats under the snow..... I think i've actually lost track of your current cars at this point. You've only owned about 100 since we became friends, so up until now i'm doing pretty good. I'll message Tori and ask her LOL.

@Rice Wired.com featured an article that uses some of these mobile app tools.

Not sure how much this has been covered in the local news but since all my relatives live in either Australia or the UK its been all over my feed.

Captain Tom Moore, a 100 year old veteran, decided during the pandemic he would try to do what little good he could by walking 100 laps around his country garden for his 100th birthday. He initially had a goal of 1000 GBP for local health care workers. It went viral and he ended up making 48 million dollars for health care workers.
Actually I think he did 101 laps because he gave a victory lap after the final numbers came in.
Again always look for those helping anyway they can.

In case any of you are feeling like doing something easy to help someone who was dealt a rotten hand even before COVID came along to make it worse... She'll be 5 on May 7th. I have no affiliation; I simply saw the article.
