I'm not kidding. At all. I want bagpipes. They will be mine. I have no excuse to have waited this long. That's pretty much the only way I'll get back into playing music. If it's not Scottish it's crap. @jamesurq? Do your magic.

First real concert was 1988 ACDC.

July 31st, apparently:

AC/DC The Archives

Still probably would call it the best pure sound quality hard rock concert I have been too. The list is short, though :)

I watched a documentary on the band not long ago with ma boyz, very interesting band, Scottish parents emigrated to OZ. thats the second singer, another Scottish emigrant to OZ. First singer lasted 2 years. The brother with the school boys uniform put that on because his siter older told him he as too young looking and should wear it as a gag, then she see it for him. Became a "thing" and the older sister kept sewing them throughout their career. One of my top 10 bands ever.

A few years ago, when I was living in CA, I joined a bagpipe group and learned to play. Pretty cool instrument! My wife supported and encouraged it, but even just playing the chanter was more than my dogs could handle... Bagpipes are stupid loud. And kilts, comfortable as they are, are far more expensive than you would think. But worth it.

Izzy, that was a good documentary.

Have to carry some big U joint spares with that rig.

Wow that looks amazing! I need to find your thread, I missed a few steps... Last j remember you were filling voids in your cruiser collection, maybe looking at a 62 to go with the 40/80/100...

Great job it really looks awesome!

Jeeps wave at me when I drive the 40. I wave back. There aren't many of these things around and they know they aren't waving at a Jeep. I appreciate friendly auto enthusiasts.

Also, since there aren't many around, I don't want the reputation of being the jerk with the FJ40. The car is easily recognizable.

Edit: I haven't driven it in a while, but took this pic yesterday (posted on LCLC)

What did you think?

Didn't see it much. Saw it sitting in a lot and drove in circles once or twice and then had to get to the property I was inspecting.

Didn't think much about it again till it popped up for sale on craigslist a few days later.

Looked awesome. Andrea's Step dad has a similar set up on a Volvo. His he got for 8k though, had 978k on it but the motor and trans only had 10k on it. First motor lasted to 968k lol. He yanked one axle off the rear so he could register it in CA as an RV and only pay $150 a year on full coverage. Then he built a platform on back for a vehicle if needed and kept the hitch so they can pull their ridiculously large 5th wheel.
