Only if they are Japanese manufacture. I doubt they are.

Not in my view.

No, thanks.

Not many of those left. I have ~15 set back for my BJ74.

Was reading this other thread about Toyota Oil Filter 90915-30002 made in Japan, and still available.
80 Series Toyota Oil Filter Options
Anybody know if '96 FZJ can use that filter?

It can after you swap a diesel engine in. :)

90915-YZZD3 is the current number for 1FZ and 3FE.

Amazon was selling the YZZD3s for $4 each and free shipping. Hard to beat that and comes right to your door. This whole oil filter thing is overblown. In an ideal world we'd get the -41010 filters but we can't. The YZZD3s are perfectly good. They fit all USA spec land cruisers through 1997 and maybe beyond. They also work in our 2004 Sienna, though the Sienna calls for something else, it has run 50k miles on YZZD3s because that 's what I have on hand.

I've also run a bunch of Wix/NapaGold 1515. They work fine too.

I sell the -41010's Andy. I have about 67 or so in a box in a storage space in Boulder.

Good to know. Thanks! Just ordered 5 from amazon.

I change my oil more often that I probably have to. I am still going with the old "every 3000 miles" adage and I have yet to blow a motor or cause any real damage on any of the roughly 40 cars and trucks I have owned. I have strayed away from those junker Frams and WIX that people say are no good, but I not ready to start using $25 oil filters at this time.

I dump 7.5 quarts of Mobil1 0-40 out of my crankcase every 3,000 miles.

I should find another car to dump it into for another 3,000 miles.....
