I'm putting a safari 2.5" lift on my 74 fj40 and what to run 15x10 wheels. What offset and backspacing should I shoot for?

3.25 or less is what has been posted before, but if it is an aluminum rim you need to test it. My 15x8 rims with 3.25 backspacing rubbed, needed a 1/4 spacer, many others with 3.25 aluminum rims did not.

I found a 15x8 steel with 2.5" bs that I like.... That should work and give me a little wider stance that im looking for correct?

15 x 8, 6 on 5.5 with 2.5 BS $58.99 each at 4wheelparts?

I'm converting to 4 wheel discs on my '67 FJ40 and have to buy 5 wheels:crybaby:.

Stock riveted wheels have to go.

What size tires are you planning? Are your rear fenders trimmed?

I plan on running 32x1150 and yeah my rear fender is trimmed

Why wouldn't you replace your drum wheels with OEM disc wheels? Used, they are not easy to find, but you can still get them new from Toyota.

A FST FJ-40 just won't look as good with aftermarket wheels...

Bingo

Do this and you'll be fine

Hi All:

Hey FireFlyer, what size tires are you running? I would choose a 15 X 7 inch wheel for a 10.5 inch wide tire (15 X 6 if 9.5 inch wide tire.)

Check out the steel wheels from Summit Racing, they have good prices. Also, consider stock FJ60 wheels.

Regards,

Alan
