@tgadd, Not trying to stick my nose in your business but you might want to ask
@jamesurq if the rim is riveted or welded. You will not be able to use a riveted rim with disc brakes. FWIW, James' truck would have originally had riveted wheels. This one could be either. He will have to confirm this for you.
I'd just hate to see you mount a tire on a riveted wheel with the thought that it would be 100 percent useable. The rivets won't clear your front brake calipers. I suppose you could keep a riveted wheel as a spare to use in the rear (drums) but if you had a front flat you'd have to move a rear wheel to the front and then use the riveted wheel in the rear. That's a lot to do on the side of the road.
