interesting exhaust design....

It's a 3 inch stainless steel straight pipe. I made it and I hung it a bit goofy. I need to redo the mounts.

Might not matter for most, but the position of the exhaust could be problematic when crawling rocks...

Well, if I was that worried, I'd probably have sliders. It's fine, I know how to pick my lines and if i smash it, I'll fix it.

I settled on the OME 2” lift w 30mm spacers in the front to level it out and 315/75R16 tires and the service manager at the shop doing the work sent me the following email... View attachment 2347946

Is he incorrect? Everybody on here seems to be doing the same or similar setup. Please help!

Yeah. He's wrong. Lots of people running 315s on ome 2". Might rub but they'll fit.

Dude you could run 40s + on a 6in lift

They are wrong. These trucks are very different from a stuff like a Cherokee, where you have to lift like 3in just to give 33s room to move.

I have 315-75 and no rub with about 2in of lift on the front

I am sure you can fit 39s on a 2" lift and not have any rubbing on the street if you go straight and not go over any bumps. However, not having any rubbing issues on the trail is a completely different story...

Yes that’s for sure, I’m just poking fun at the idea of a 6in lift being required to run 35s

It’s not.

I'm on a 3.5 to 4" Dobinsons lift, 16x8s, 35" Coopers....nice setup.

He is definitely wrong. I was running on 315's with worn stock suspension. I would rub coming out of driveways but that was it. With 2" of lift you will be fine.

I went 35s stock suspension for now. Read different things here. Figured it depended on each person's skill level. Just went for it as I know I could easily make adjustments afterwards if I needed. The guys at the tire shop laughed at me. I told them just do it. Left them with their mouths open and shock on their faces.

315/75r16 Patagonia Milestars, stock suspension with front bumper, winch, diy sliders modeled after white knuckle but stick a little further out, diy 4x4 labs rear bumper, and custom drawers in the rear.

Rub the lips a little in center of wheel well. In the back needed 3/4" spacer for bump to stop it from going into top of wheel well. It probably wouldn't rub the lips at all if the suspension wasn't so compressed. I think the bump spacer would still be necessary maybe could get away with 1/2". A little under 19" to fender. Was 20.5 with stock suspension I think. Will do lift soon.

Had to trim corner of rear flair's other than that it's fine.

I could roll the lips a little and it would solve most the rub.

Car shot and stuffed with bump spacer below. Also shot where it was rubbing the flare before trimming. Trimmed picture is previous post.

And yes spacer is 3d printed out of ASA.

Has about 1/4" above the wheel to top of inner wheel well. The bump stop was compressed a bit. It would need to compress about a half inch total for the tire to push into the wheel well.

Same exact 315 Milestars here, it took an act of Congress at WallyWorld to get them to mount em up. They kept rolling a tire out next to my worn out rubber and calling other guys over saying they were too big.

I finally got them to mount them and ran them on my worn out suspension for a couple of weeks without issue. Installed a 2” Ironman and have been pleased with my budget setup.
