That looks awesome! I got an 08 GX a few months ago and really want to take it wheeling but being totally new to this it would be really cool to go with people who have some experience. For now its totally stock except for a headlight upgrade. I'm planning on a lift and some armor in the future but I need to finish up my other car and do some preventative maintenance on it first.
 
Stock 200 series... What would we recommend the minimum armor be in place for this? Right now, I believe the recommendation for the first round is rock sliders, then tires. Would that suffice?

Depends on your tolerance for some body damage.my first Cove event was in a 200 with sliders and 34' . I ended up getting rides with other guys. But, I was the only one trying to keep up with the pack.this time I think it will be a few 200 so maybe you will have options for lighter trails.
 
Is this a family friendly event?
It is a family friendly event, although it can get very cold there at the end of October.
Also, the Cove's prices can get steep depending on how many family members you bring.
