On another note, where do we buy raffle tickets? I didn't see an option during registration.

You'll get a ticket when you register at camp. Only one raffle ticket per person at this event unless something changed from the last few years

Gross..... I think that's how they do it at Relic Run as well.

Our event doesn't focus on the raffle, it has always been more about the people and wheeling. Nevertheless we always have some cool stuff to give away but how our raffle works is after Saturday nights dinner and happy hour ( sponsored by Sinistral Brewing Company ) we will lay all of our prize packages out with a bucket in front of each one. You are given your raffle tickets when you register at camp and you will place your ticket in the bucket of the prize you would like a chance at winning. A Ticket is then selected at random to find the winner of each prize package. After that is done we put all the tickets into one bucket for a grand prize drawing.

This way nobody has to sit through a 4 hour long raffle like at other events

It's a genius strategy that maximizes the time for casual drinking and regaling each other with tales from the trails, and you have a chance to win a prize of your choosing AND set of tires. It's a win-win.

Only if you win-win....😎

Are you going to Fall Crawl with a radio that doesn't have the club frequencies programmed? Have you tested that you have two-way radio communication? We will have the opportunity to have FC attendees get radios loaded with the appropriate channels/frequencies and will do comms check with Ed on October 1 monthly club meeting.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED: respond to this thread with the type of radio you have.

Baofeng UV5R

Forecasting here, what do we do if we roll in between midnight and 3am Friday morning? The plan was to either sleep in the truck or set up camp and wait until morning to sort out details.

Getting in that late and sleeping in your truck, I would recommend pulling in at the Boy Scout camp on the road to the Cove.

X2 They have a big parking lot. If you roll into the camp ground they will charge for the night. Better to roll in, in the morning.

OR hit the Walmart rt on rt50. Then you can bring us Bojangles for breakfast! :)

At least 3 of us from GCLC will be there, and I can bring our club Baofeng UV5R radios pre-programmed. Let me know.
