OEM black 69-84 mirrors?

Seller never replied to several inquiries. One buyer left comment about "appears black" but upon delivery was not.
That said, anyone know if Toyota ever made a dark colored side mirror? Or is the seller playing games?

Addendum: found out yesterday my 40 included a new pair of uninstalled dark OEM period correct mirrors! Appreciate all the input, learn something new along the way.

Those have cream colored back sides.

These are probably the closest to black toyota made. They are a dark charcoal. You need the heads and arms.

These were stock on JDM BJ41, 44, 46 with the front fender mounted mirrors.

Thank you! A quick Google images search shows the darker mirrors mounted on the front fender and the door arms as well. My incoming 40 has door mounted mirrors and they’re dark. It was a custom factory spec order in 1983 and presuming the owner wanted black mirrors to go with the black factory paint. I ask because driver side mirror looks like half of black is missing and I’m contemplating replacing both or just may drive it as is.

Btw I think these are convex … and to tell you the truth it was an upgrade for me to put convex on my truck … SOOO much easier to see down our trucks common blindspots

They’re not OEM… but I have been running round convex mirrors for 30 odd years now. Originally I thought I’d switch them for flat when I broke the mirror, but it 32 years and a mishap with the dog leash to break one. I’ve grown so use to them that I replaced it with another 6” diameter convex one. They allow me to see so much more than a flat one.
