Good source

Hi, so far I have used www.boltdepot.com to buy pretty much all my fasteners in Stainless Steel and I think they have the best prices around with cheap shipping cost, also, you can try to contact kimball Midwest and they can find pretty much any bolt & nut around.

For brake system hardware also in stainless or any other type, check www.inlinetube.com

Hope it helps.:wrench:

Cool! I'm adding that to the sheet. What size wrench fits the nut? It takes four of these?

Front bumper carriage bolts: 10mm x 1.25mm thread x 25mm

Great thread!

I searched but didn't see bolt sizes for later model manifolds-specifically 1978.The front and rear bolts have 14mm heads and the rest have 17mm heads.

The rear (14mm head) bolt is broken and I'd like to get new ones in before I attempt to remove the others.

Anyone have this info?

TIA

The 6 big guys are 13x1.50 bolts or studs, there are usually two studs at the top center positions but I installed studs across the top 4 holes the last time I did the manifolds and it worked well. Not sure but I think there 40mm long, you might be able to tell on SOR or Toyotapartszone.com since TEQ still sells them. I think the end ones are 10x1.50 and I may have two in the garage, pm me and I will mail them to you if I still have them. The extras are because I pulled the manifolds a couple of times chasing a vacuum leak.

Thanks for the info and I'll take you up on the offer.
PM on the way.

Reviving old thread:

Coolerman, could you send me a copy of the spreadsheet, or whoever has the latest copy?
I see the link to the spreadsheet in Coolerman's sig line.

I cannot believe no vendor has put together a zinc + stainless + OEM complete kit. Zinc for inner, non weather and strength needed bolts, plus stainless for weather/bling bolts, plus OEM for the strange stuff.

Seems like more and more people are doing refurbs and would snap these up.

This is where zip lock bags are your best friends.

I'd like a copy of that spreadsheet too, if its out there somewhere. Jkirkby at Mac dot com.

Thanks,
Joel

You just need click on the link on coolermans sig line. If you don't know the sig line is at the bottom of every post cooler man makes. So click on it and you need a some windows reader program to read it or it won't show anything.your computer should prompt you on what program you may need. Cooler man has spent so much time on that spreadsheet it would seem crazy to ask him to send it to everyone.

Just updated the Website with all the latest info on the Nuts and Bolts Sets.

I've currently sourced all the flanged head hardware with OEM Style Indented Heads, EXCEPT the M10x30 bolts.

Custom Orders are all Welcome!

I've got Regular Hex Kits Ready to ship, and will have Flanged Head Kits Ready to ship on 12/16.

Order at:
JISHardware.com

I am interested in your gold cadmium kit, but your site says it is out of stock. Will you have any more of these available soon? If you aren't putting together any of the gold cadmium kits, I would like to purchase a yellow zinc kit. I sent a request through the website, but haven't gotten a response.

Had bookmarked this thread awhile back to read for information... and I wasn't disappointed. What a great thread and a cooperative effort on cataloging various bolt sizes (with big kudos to @Coolerman on the spreadsheet and overwhelming number of personal measurements).

I just snagged one of @davework 's kits and it's fantastic quality!

Mud rocks.

I am going to need to order one of these soon.

Does anyone know where I can get a kit like JISHardware but for the FJ55

A good source for the JIS 10.9 yellow zinc fasteners is BelMetric. Don't know if this has been mentioned previously. They seem to have just about all the bolts, flange bolts, washers, lock washers and nuts - in 6mm, 8mm, and 10mm sizes. They even have different size fender washers (very handy). Prices per piece are about 2x what you pay for the whole kit from davework (0.57 v 0.26 approx). But, if you need a few pieces here and there, and want JIS, this is a good source. Great service - similar to McMaster (where I get most of my stainless stuff for the exterior). No financial interest, etc, etc.
