Yea, that's a lot of frickin' fasteners. Too bad there isn't an easy cross reference for hard to find fasteners with their description, size, category, and Toyota part number. Oh, wait...that's what we are doing!
EDIT: But, this is still a great reference because it has the photos, which, in all seriousness, we will try to use to help ID these items. Thanks @GA Architect , this is helpful!!

@davework You probably have a good idea which fasteners you cannot replicate easily that we still need to get from Toyota. Can you help with that list? Hopefully, over time, you can whittle that list down to "Go to overlandmetric.com, they have it."

So here is the trial run at the spreadsheet in Google Docs. Anyone can "Comment" but not edit.
Someone test and see if you can copy it for your own use, and if the "commenting" is helpful. I think "view only" mode is pretty restrictive.

I'm also thinking folks who sell parts might know which OEM bolts are commonly purchased. I might ask @beno if he has a few part numbers for fasteners that you almost MUST buy from Toyota since they are unique. If you'll give me a few Onur, I'll document them in the spreadsheet.
Need diameter, thread length, washers, nuts info. And OEM part no so we can buy them.

Count on it! I've been photographing every single pieces of rubber purchased for the recent restoration of my 40. =)
I went through old FJ40 parts microfiche and pulled out as many PNs for hardware on the 40s I could locate. Then I ordered about 400 pieces of hardware from this research. With these, I created a rough database of part numbers and descriptions. One day I'll try and take pictures of all these pieces and put them on the site, but for now, I do have all the PNs on the site with their description. This is a work in progress, so not really user friendly, but the info is there, and hopefully if someone searches for a PN, this might lead them to my site:

I am sorry to say I don't have a good feeling for this. Just in general, it's easy to say anything not a M6, M8, or M10 will need to come from OEM (although you can get most other sizes from places like BelMetric). Body bolts, exhaust bolts, and any shoulder bolt are typically kind of funky and may also need to come from OEM.
Kind of shooting myself in the foot, but personally, anything that keeps my calipers and hubs from flying off the truck, I feel better using an OEM bolt on.

That makes sense. But, Mr Yota has to source these things somewhere. I figured that you might want to find a manufacturer and get into the bolt and nut engineering business

Or, is there a better way to do this? I looked at your data tables on your website. Hard to decipher where it goes.
And looked at the part diagrams. Still hard to determine proper english descriptions to part number.

@Coolerman - there are some questions in the spreadsheet highlighted in red cell coloring. When you get really bored, take a look and see if you have any insight to these. I'll try to add the questions in the Notes area.

I just posted in the 60-Series forum asking about Toyota hardware nomenclature and part numbers. I had run across what turned out to be your website, without knowing you're here on MUD. My current interest is mainly in FJ60 and FJ62 hardware, due to my ongoing '86 FJ60 build. I've started to make sense of Toyota's (older) bolt numbering scheme, but still run across apparent inconsistencies. Have you looked at FJ6X hardware, or only FJ4X hardware?

The version on google docs has some columns sorted. I just downloaded it into excel and took off the filters on the columns that were sorted.
