That is, if I even decide to sell it! I'm building this thing for ME. I just know that someone will offer big money for it one day, and it'll need to fetch a big premium before I think of getting rid of it.

i get it, i was just wondering. true to vin color would help bring that premium. i realize that its not going to the auction, as of now....and its not being sold by the FJ co. but anything north of $30/40k is a premium price, i don't care who the target audience it....

so....ill just fxxx off now....

I thought this one wasn't going to be a flip? Isn't that what you told me when we talked about mine?

Again, I'm not flipping it. Building it for me.

Just realize that I'll probably sell it one day; I want it to be nice when that day comes. When I had my 1968, I had said I'd never sell it. Then one day a banker offered $42k for it. I said "no thanks". I later regretted it; I realized it's only a truck; I could always buy another one.

So this time around, I'm building it the way I want it. And when the day comes that someone wants to buy it, I'll be ready, and I'll make some big profits.

Never liked Dune Beige; the plan has always been to repaint it. Collectors be damned; this is my damn truck and I'm doing it the way I want to. :)

Just saw a Gray one on IG. Not sure if this is OEM but it made me tingle a tad.

Love love love that Grog

I mean, yeah, that's pretty and all, but I think this here is pure sex:

Yes.

Still ended up getting $30k

Fireman, you've got yourself two 40 series. I'm thinking you should do one in this pretty green.

Update on the project:

Got a ton of parts blasted and ready for powdercoating. I'll be delivering the parts to the PC'er tomorrow morning.

Still waiting on my parts at the platers.

Ordered lift and tires from @wct49 . Waiting for those to arrive.

Next step will be getting the frame blasted and PC'd. Hopefully that'll happen in the next few weeks.

Still need to call up Georg and order the necessary parts for power steering.

First batch of parts dropped off at the powdercoater.

I've been blasting the frame. About 2/3 of the way done. Booya.
