Spent the morning blasting the block. 150lbs of blasting media. Coated with high temp semi gloss black and high temp clear coat.

dude. you could basically walk by and start all those mowers where they sit and do the lawn.....aint no excuse for the grass that tall. lol and weeds.....

Just curious, and I may have missed it somewhere in the prior 24 pages, but did you ever check compression on the motor? Would just hate to see a motor that pretty will a problem cylinder hiding inside it.

It ran strong. No compression test. Kinda too late now. My motto for this build was to originally not touch the inside of the drivetrain, as it ran well to begin with

I don't think it matters that much with the 2F, but the ones from Toyota (Denso?, NGK?) are dirt
cheap, work well, and have always been gapped to spec out of the box.

No, going with the earlier and lighter shade of Olive. Forgot the color code, but it'll be lighter and have a bit more yellow than Tolleson's rig.
just wondering. does it not make more sense to use factory color associated with the original color that came on it? figured it would help with value, maybe not....
i just know that on old cars that get restored, original paint colors matter......and help with resale and matching up all the way around....or was there no paint code association on these trucks stamped with the vin

The Barrett Jackson/TLC 4x4/Cool Cruisers etc. buying crowd (collectors) are likely to care about original-to-the-truck color. I think MScruiser is targeting the crowd that buys for south of premium prices and well-north of Mud prices...and those folks want exactly what he's building....original truck in a cool OEM color.

It ain't gonna be Barret Jackson pricing, but it ain't gonna be cheap either. Well north of what my 1968 sold for. I'll determine value based off of what the final product looks like, and I'm expecting something very nice when it's all said and done.
