West End Cruisers meeting. Meets in Greensboro the first Thursday of every month at Pollo Pizza Pasta. Just south of 40 at the GSO airport exit....behind Taco Bell.

Can you get me his e-mail so I can ask him about some pics possibly. If I could when you get a chance I need a measurement on your rear lights, like how far from the edge of the outside and how far up from the bottom. Need to get an idea as to where to start cutting for mine. I am thinking about just slapping some 40 rectanular ones back there.

I am not in a hurry for those measurements, just whenever you get a chance.

Thanks much.

The rear tail lights are not just holes...they are actually recessed (stamped) in so that the lens is nearly flush to the panel. You would be better off to actually use a 40 light assembly though, since the early lights are unobtainium and the later 45's used 40 style lights anyway.

Not mine, but shows the recess I'm talking about....even with aftermarket generic lights

Alright, not too much done today, wife got laid off at lunch time today, :crybaby: :crybaby: :crybaby: :crybaby: so everything i was going to buy for this thing just got put off until either she gets another job or i do while i am still on leave.

Anyhow check out my front and rear shocks and my unique way of removing the front cab by myself.

Damn that really stinks. Sorry to hear that. Best of luck in finding new employment.

Ok , sorry to keep you all waiting for an update on this thing. :) :)

I have been doing a bunch of work to the frame for the last few days and is it ever hot out there. I think tomorrow I have to go get a new air compresser, this small 30 gallon one that i have had for almost 10 years now is on its last legs, esp when i am trying to sandblast with it and it is just continually running. Right now it is just sending water out . I wanted one of those 60 -80 gallon ones anyway. :) :D :D :D

As you can see the frame is not that bad at all. I just got done ordering a gallon of that rust bullet also for this frame. I guess we shall all see how this works on our side of the states. It says you don't have to do much prep for it but i am going to prep as much as i can, ya'll know what i mean.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I was a POR-15 dealer in Atlanta before I moved up here last year. I still have a bunch of inventory that I'd discount to get rid of.... Doh! Oh well.

I'd be happy to get a price on a few quarts or a gallon. What's the shelf life on POR15?

Darin - How is the 45 work progressing?

I am too busy working at the local 4x4 shop right now trying to get them caught up to even think about mine right now. Have not done a thing to it in weeks and it is starting to show. If i would ever get paid from the shop i could go buy my compresser i need.

Ok a little update here. Got my tub and stuff at the sandblaster right now, should have it back tuesday. Then i can start back up on this thing.

sandblasting

How's doing the sandblasting? How expensive is it? The rest of your project is coming along nicely. You've done a lot of work in a short amount of time. Keep the pics coming.

update us on this. You still making some rear bumpers for people as well? I still dont have the $ but one day! :) I look forward to seeing your progress.
