That is way cool. That square hole is a lot more than the squarish bit, it's also in the offset camming operation of the drill itself. Metal mortis and tenon. Now that's something I thought I'd never see...
 
Oh man, now I gotta buy that square tap and die set. Yay, more tools.
 
That's wicked.
Wonder if that big round aluminum assembly is part of that bit. Something has to hold a cam system to allow that type of high speed cutting.
Pricy too i bet.
 
It was a idea that eventually was born to happen. Very interesting. This might speed up the time it takes to make a square hole then using a mill and moving slowly back and forth on a x/y axis.
