Just picked this 300 lb beauty up from the shipping terminal this morning. Was told that it was surplused out of a P&G plant. I'm not sure it was ever used. Table doesn't have a scratch on it. Normally they have at least been touched by a bit once or twice.

Ran across it looking at drill presses. Was leaning towards a new Jet in a similar size but pretty sure this was a much better decision.

Have not had a lot of luck trying to date this machine but ran across some Baldor motor dating information that stated that the second pair of numbers in the serial number is the year of manufacture. So assuming that information is accurate, the motor and press are from the same time frame, and this is the original motor (pretty confident about that), then the Drill Press is from 1997.
