No D light since 217,000.
Now at 286,000. I thought the D light, if on, was a warning that the truck wasn't in "Drive"

153 on the clock. I do still have my D, but my 3 is gone...probably says something about having a 3FE powered 80

D light has been out since I bought the LX with ~150K miles - it irks me
Bought my HDJ at 177k and it was bright as the morning sky. Even came with a spare in the parts package... Because he had already replaced it once... 
Just crossed 130k and the 'D' burnt out 15k miles ago..... I don't miss it.

I bought mine last year at 118K and recently noticed it was out. I thought it was supposed to be that way. Why would you want that blaring at you all the time anyway?
Bought with 189k and to my delight.... No D Light.
Mine went out around 150,000 miles IIRC, now at 325,000. It bothered me at first but now I perceive the center stack of lights as warning lights, if anything is glowing it signals to me that I'm not in Drive in the same way the OD Off light warns you.
Bought w/ 135,000 miles and had no "D" light
Just got my 97 with 169K. Noticed this light not working and rather enjoy it for night driving.
Bought mine with 275k and no "D" light. When I was doing the temp gauge mod I fixed it, so I left the club. Sorry guys, nothing personal.......
My D went out at 160k .... but then the alty went at 167k replaced the alty .. and the D now works ....

No "D" when I bought mine @200k. no intention of fixing it unless I have to take the cluster out for something else.
Almost 253k and the D is strong

"D" is gone when I got her @ 162k... I tried to get the price down due to that but the PO said NO and that the no D light is actually limited edition...
