Mine was out when I got it. It it's broke I fix it, that's the way I roll.

Replacement is straightforward, although you will have to wiggle the cluster to get it out. It's a tight fit. I found that I had to tilt the top forward and then pulled the left side out.

1) remove the lower trim beneath the steering wheel.

2) remove the upper trim above the steering wheel.

3) disconnect the wiring harness to the upper trim.

4) remove the cluster trim.

5) unscrew the cluser.

6) disconnect the cluster wiring harness.

7) wiggle the cluster free.

8) compress tabs on center piece.

9) unscrew brown colored bulb sockets and replace.

I replaced all of them while I was there.

Anyone have working photos of this step by step?

Ok, finally got around to tackling this

I never really cared for the "D" light because it was the only light that wouldn't dim with the dimmer

After installing a DVD player many moons ago, I wanted it to be completely dark with the screen on only, so when my "D" light went out, I didn't mind at all.

That being said, it seems to be quite a flex to have it working and since I'll be listing on BAT soon, I figure I'd replace it.

First time ever removing the cluster and I made sure to be extra careful cause the last thing I wanted to do was crack or scratch sumthin, but it came out rather easy.

I was expecting the bulb to have a green condom, but the only one that had that was the "P" bulb

The rest are all clear

Unfortunately, the bulbs I ordered were wrong (too small and too big), so I just swapped it out with the "L" for now

Good video.

Noticed that the A/T Oil Temp, Brake, and Oil level lights also come on in Neutral and Park, was it like that before the cluster was removed?

Yes

Normal for this rig as I have a push button start wired up to a hidden switch and an adjustable timer relay that disables all of the security cameras and DVR to avoid voltage spikes during cranking.

With the engine off, it will show these lights in Park and Neutral as they are the only positions it will crank.
