Kit includes all parts to convert your early 2F points distributor to Toyota electronic ignition. Here's what's included:

- Modified Toyota 4M 6-cylinder distributor breaker plate, assembled and lubricated with new races and ball bearings - ready to install in your distributor

- Used Toyota cam from 9/77 through 8/87 2F distributor

- New Toyota mechanical advance weights with sleeves

- New Lucas aftermarket (made in Japan) signal generator

- Used Toyota signal generator cover

Kit can be used with distributors that have either vacuum advance or vacuum retard advancers.

Kit is priced at $95 plus shipping. One kit could be available in a week or so, two others a couple of weeks later. So far I have one good used '78 2F igniter, this first igniter is available for an additional $50 (see my Post #5 below).

Photos show the parts separately and installed in a '75 2F distributor. A signal generator cover is included, but not shown in the photos.

UPDATE:

I have two used '78 2F igniters - I'll test them tomorrow in my '76 FJ40. I also have an 8/80 through 6/82 Tercel igniter that has already been tested. I've been running it in my '76 FJ40 for over a year now and it works great. If the '78 igniters test OK, I'll offer all three for sale on this thread.

The first '78 igniter I checked out works great - I just tested it in my '76 FJ40 with an FJ60 distributor. Electronic ignition kit with used '78 2F igniter is $145 plus shipping. I'll test the second '78 igniter later this evening or tomorrow morning.

I posted a thread a few minutes ago with details of how to connect the '78 2F igniter to the '76 FJ40 wiring harness. I'm not sure if the harness wiring is the same for 1/75 through 9/77 FJ40s and FJ55s. Here's a link:
