So I need two sets of them then? One for the high beams and one set for the low beams?

HL 79565 H1 Headlamp system
HL 78149 55w premium plus bulb

I also installed the harness and a set of Hella h4 with 60/55w bulbs that it came with and honestly a little disappointed with the brightness, it's definitely better but I'm sure you all know how expensive all that was and I was expecting better. Do I just need better bulbs? Can I run xenons because I thought I needed ballasts.

Need help guys! I ordered new rear 6.5 inch speakers because the other ones I thought were too quiet. I went to install them, but first I wanted to see how the old ones sound for a comparison. They weren't working at all! So I thought maybe they were blown. Threw the new ones in and still not working! I checked the fuses and they all looked ok. Not sure what to do now

It's either something with the head unit or the speaker wire run is compromised along the way.

Did you check to the fader?

Haha. As you can tell with the dumb fuse question I'm not good with audio. I am planning on getting a head unit with Bluetooth and an aux cable. Should I just go for it now and get it? Do you guys think that the head unit is the issue? How can I check the wiring?

Ohm meter from output of head unit to speaker connection. If both are dead I'd bet head unit is bad

Well my cruisers just got issues. My headlights are immensely dim and thinking at this point it might be my old batter not puting out enough amps. Looking to get an optima red soon maybe that will fix it.

I'm just going to jump to conclusion and try a new head unit since its on the list. Looking for a double din, and I've seen the Panasonic that a few people use and have posted on mud. But those aren't made anymore and I'm not looking for a touchscreen one like another one I saw. I want a head unit that fits the classic look of my cruiser if I can get one. Any recommendations?

No recommends but keep it simple....the first thing to check on any sort of power problems on thes old beast are the grounds.

Also I heard with optimas the size is a 31t, but I will need a different strap. Is that true? Is there one that just bolts in? I've tried searching on mud but no luck

Alright guys update time, I bought a new Bosch platinum battery and it works great. I was thinking in bed one night about my headlight harness and why it isn't working and I realized what I needed to do. I fixed that and my headlights are intensely bright. I have my wheels and tires on there and I am getting my windows tinted on Saturday. What should my next project be on it?

What did u do to fix ur lights?

Sent from my SM-G900I
So where the headlights plug into the new harness and it has the three prongs. I remembered hearing somewhere that land cruisers actually put the power through the common. So I looked at my Hellas and they said that the top prong of the 3 is for the brights. So I moved the common to the top prong on both and everything works great. Before it wouldn't give me the blue light on the dash when the brights were on,which told me the circuit was incomplete and therefore I knew it was something hooked up wrong. Still a major hassle having to pull the outer grills to fix it but man it was worth it. I have 100/80s in there that are a xenon color but still halogen and with the h4 housings being a little yellow it worked out perfectly!

Good progress. And the list continues....

Is this a decent rebuild kit?
