I just realized, as I was about to make a 2-week joke at your expense, that my suspension guy has had my 80 since October. Every week it's "Been busy man, but I will have it out in 2 weeks." It's not like a custom 3 link, it's a 6 inch Ironman lift.

First of all, you're moving to a 6" lift?! NICE!

And secondly, sounds like you need a new suspension guy, lol.

that'll teach you to not do it yourself or at least have a HAMON to do it.

Agreed. Some friends from work had success and Michael Bessinger recommended him since he did the lift on his FJ55... I've been trying to entice him with more money just to get the 80 back in my possession.

Btw did you test fit them on the 100 yet ?

Nah, the 100 has 5 lug rims. I was fitting them up on the 40, though. Was going to drive it to Benke's house on 37's but my wife flipped her lid when I started lifting the 40. Oh well...

It does require caster correction. Iron Man sent plates for the front axle, but after installing the springs, we noticed that the springs were pre-loaded in the aft direction (they were bent backwards). It's a pretty significant fatigue consideration. The caster plates didn't correct enough of the geometry. I ordered some 4 inch drop brackets back in December but they didn't show up for over a month. In the meantime, the installer started working on other projects and my 80 got moved to the back of the garage.

I think I've had my vehicles on Benke's lift more than anyone else... I was feeling selfish...

This "2 week" theme (aka I'll get to it when I fricken well please) has me increasingly convinced when I retire from the current gig my second life should be twisting bolts on cruisers.
