lots of questions ...no answers..

Looks like a thread with many questions, fewer answers...

I am now actively back on mud, sorry I have been extremely slack,
lots of reasons, but none of them answer any of your questions.
So ..fire away,
There is now no middleman involved and no s***ty parts sold under my name.
Paul..
ps..thanks pablo for the kick.
Group buys are the way to go, split shipping costs, i can arrange shipping to US ports, and I can arrange delivery to your door if needed. Everything ordered will need 50% deposit to back it up, and all shipments must be paid in full before leaving.
Thanks for your support over the years..

So, what is the minimum custom stuff that would need to be made in order to end up with complete FJ40 sheetmetal on an 80 chassis?

Some stuff is easier that others: tub itself is probably doable "at home". The tough stuff is: windshield frame, hood, bib, top... what else?

I guess the REAL question is: what would it cost to get a custom "wide" 40 series [FJ45, 4 door, to fit up on an 80 series chassis] to my door in NY?

I was thinking the same thing. Buy a low dollar 91-92 80 so you don't have a world of electronics and marry the two together. Or a wide troopy that drops right onto the 80 frame.

replacement tub for 79-84 3/4

Hey Paul
Could you please let me know when a shipment of new tubs maybe coming to the US. I live in North Carolina and have been comparing the steel and aluminum tubs and also costs. What would a 3/4 tub cost for a 1981 if purchased through a group order. Just wandering, as I see Michael had asked the same in his comment. Thanks and your details in the production of the tubs are amazing.

-Patrick

p.s. Do you happen to have any links to photos of your tubs and also prices as I checked your new site out and not seeing anything. I will also try to reach you through your email - I believe this is it ( info@toyotona.com )

Paul,

Just wondering if you have shipped any of these tubs up to Canada? Looking for a 3/4 tub for a 1982 BJ42. Or would I be better getting it shipped up through the states. Also wondering what is a 3/4 tub worth.

Cheers,

Brian

Wow, is all I have to say. I was thinking of doing some patch work, but with all the time and money that would be spent, I'll be getting one of your tubs. What is the cost on a 12/71 with half doors shipped to 49424. Maybe someone will want one as well and we could split the shipping. Live in west Michigan. Nice work.

Id like too see a group buy on 1980-1984 3/4 bodies, Price per unit and price if we filled up a 40 container shipped to Houston ,Texas. Thanks MIke michaeljhanson@msn.com

Here's the lomk to the fat 40..
https://forum.ih8mud.com/40-55-series-tech/404263-fat-40-a-2.html

Gents..
Group buys are the way to go..
Shipping for an individual tub to most doors in the US costs now from $1640-$1900 add another $400 for the certified crate .
Canada starts at around $2400.
For sure, I'll ship seperately but price stinks.
For about $5000-$6000 I can get a 40ft container landed in Miami. In that container I can get 23 3/4 tubs and a whole pile of smaller parts. They can be distibuted from there or they can be picked up from order,
So group buys, clubs, companies..If there is anyone out there who is seriously interested in bringing in "bulk" please email me..
The same goes for fj55 parts..I have been promising these for two years, If there is someone out there who is very interested and finacially able to get these 55 parts off the floor, please get in contact.
Best wishes.
Paul

I would like to know as well what would it cost to make a 40 body to mate to an 80 frame as well. 80s are plentiful in the states and are getting cheaper.

I was looking into the aqualu 4 door 40 body, but it is made for the FJ45. Very rare in the states. plus i think the engine in a 95-97 80 is the way to go. Although i do agree a 3fe in early 80s would be easier to wire.

I need a tub and a few other parts, maybe I will gauge interest in starting a groupe buy??

The bad part is if it goes through the states I will pay another tax on the parts coming into Canada..

Rob

So for (23) 3/4 tubs delievered. The total cost would be...to Miami..........to Houston. Thanks , MIke
