Well instead of playing with more tube like I had planned my 64 nova ps pump came in so we threw that in after bolting up a reservoir to it along with orange45's brackets. Have to thanks orange for being patient lol. Thank god he was nice enough to give me his cell # and we were able to text him some pictures of the backasswards way we set up the adjustment bar. Got everything set up the correct way now and the pulley (gorgeous cnc alu. pulley form orange) lines up pretty damn good. Have to get an hp line made up and some new v belts to finish the ps conversion off.

While we were messing around we pulled the water pump off, replaced the seal, cleaned it up and reinstalled.

Today Im hoping to continue messing with the tube bender.

I'm one day out of hernia surgery and will be employing my kiddos to help me finish the bunches of parts I welded up a week ago. Hopefully within the next week I can get back at it enough to keep you all happy!

I have a two link/arm settup that doesn't require a track bar. I have some 5/16" tempered tubing (old hollow stem drill rig center bit rod) for the links and am slowly trying to figure out what bushings or joints to use. I have a 2/3rds scale lumber based model that has haunted me for about 4 years now. I think I will have to to full hydro for steering.

How far is Sudbury from Morning Wood Offroad Park? MyBlueToy (unemployedfilms.com) and his Mike were up there last fall and will probably be back this fall.

Its in the Soo so about a 3.4-4 hr drive west from Suds. Bunch of guys went a couple years ago and liked it. Love the name.

No rush on the hinges, just hassling you a bit..

I was just looking back through your build thread and have a couple of questions. First, with your new suspension arms, do you expect to have any tire interference when you turn, especially with bigger tires? Also, which coils did you find to use? How much space did they leave between the tires and frame rails? I plan on using a similar width axle to the 60-series.

The coils are from a v8 zj (grand cherokee), 4" lift coils. No interference from the coils or buckets and a 37" tire rubs on the radius arm at full lock but only slightly, only every second outer lug. Some 3.5" bs'd rims should help with that. That being said I tried the 40's from my sixty on today for the hell of it and they would definitely rub lol.

Well, since photobucket is being a dick there isnt any pictures but I am making progress. Ordered ss hardware for the w/sh hinges, hood hinges, and a couple other things, should be in today. I cut apart the ds w/sh hinge and put in some new steel to replace the po's hack job then stripped both hinges down and welded up the 30 grinder cut marks (Im guessing po slotted the screws when he stripped em). Turned out looking like unmolested hinges...

Finished off the ds inner fender by plating over the old steering box hole and capped the bottoms of the tail gate posts yesterday then started something new since I still have the bender. Made some bolt on rub rails for the sides of the tub.... Still have to finish weld and pretty up but I think I like em.... maybe.

Finished up the rub bar things, they look ok I guess. Pics of the hinges and inner wheel well jobbie.

Thanks. Yeah, I use the 1/4 protection on the sixty quite a bit, theres still bark on the tube from last summer lol. Could have been sheet metal.

Added a couple tubes to the front end yesterday, I like the way it turned out.... Ended up moving the lower grille hoop tubes up a little and welded em to the top of the frame instead of the side, forgot about tire clearance and such the first go around lol.

What the...

Man, what an awesome plow rig this is going to be!!LOL I wish I had near the time you do to work on my cruiser!! :crybaby: Must be a Canadian thing...hmmm. :p Anyway, BADA$$!!!!! Keep up the good work!!

Lol, thanks...

Threw a 1"x1/8" strip under the outer edge of both front fenders yesterday and fixed more rust on the ps one. I then proceeded to drink beer and that turned into.... new outer front fenders ... fenders made out of cedar planks lol.. Yeah, thats when we called it a night and concentrated more on the beer and less on the fourty.
