No, I bought another cheaper undercoating gun, to use with the Monstaliner.

Lizard Skin is water soluble and the Monstaliner isn't. I didn't want to ruin the LS gun, as I had more to spray.

If you clean it good enough, should be alright.

It's been about 6 months since my last post, so here's some update pics. Spent a ridiculous amount of time on filling with body glaze then sanding, then filling again and sanding again. Then spent twice that, spraying and sanding primer. That ordeal made me a perfect candidate for OCD. The worst part was trying to learn to spray 2 stage paint on the roof. It is such a large surface to get an even coat. The end result isn't perfect, but the tallest person I know is 6'3'' and thought it looked pretty good. The coat of Cygnus White and clear coat went on much smoother, so I think my painting skills are improving.

Thanks Pablo, I was just going through your build thread looking at the paint lines. Do you have any pics of the paint lines on the door frame area? I'm curious where you ran it along the rocker panels and rear wheel well?

Scrapdaddy, I've been jealous of your build for a lot longer. :) I hope you don't mind me using a lot of your ideas.

Man, that does look good. On mine the doors, hood and fenders are the only things painted, so far. Really nice color choice.

Thank you. The color is breath green and cygnus white. I knew I couldn't improve on Pablo's choice of color, so I went this route instead.

Ha-ha good to see I'm not the only one with swine flu they keep following me home too. Glad to see you posted your build it takes a bit of courage after looking at some of the work others are doing but it's looking great.

Man that is the truth. There is some serious talent around here. I learn something new every time I log in. I'm just thankful that we have this forum. It would be pretty tough without it.

Scrapdaddy,
My dad picked it up with the idea that I could use it as a parts rig. I really only need a few things off of it. This is one of those dilemmas I'm faced with. In some ways it's pretty far gone, roof and rockers are shot, two of the doors are in bad shape, and interior is gone. With that said I have four extra doors and a roof that I scrapped from that old original body. Also the floor on this one is in pretty good shape and the PO swapped in a chevy engine that starts up every time. I guess I'm trying to talk myself into saving it for a later build. We will see.

That looks great! I really liked Breath Green when I was trying to figure out colors for my Pig. Nice pick!

wow, that looks fantastic!
