So... rolled out to the garage yesterday and started the fuel bleed process.
The manual lift pump did its job great and filled empty lines and H2O seperator just fine. Once the air was all out I cracked the injector caps loose and cranked it till diesel was leaking out the top of the rebuilt injectors. Then tightened the caps back up... took a deep breath..... quick glow and voila!.... Purr purr purr!!!
It didn't even hickup once. I thought the garage would be a cloud of smoke but there wasn't a puff to be seen. So F'in sweet! Jay you must have rocked the injector rebuild because I had forgot to attach the throttle cable. The little "B" sat there at idle after 9+ months and ran happily ticking over without shaking, smoking or missing at all. Makes me proud, 537000 Kms and still I have faith in the old girl.
I was so happy I sat in there, up on jack stands with no wheels and reved the motor like a little kid. LMAO at myself!
Anyway no pics of any of this because it all still looks the same. Jayson is stopping by to help me bleed the brakes tonite (solo attempt and a complete bleed proved futile) and Ill throw on the old 35's on and go for a test run.
The exhaust is a bit loud for my taste so Ill have to get moving on the turbo.
