cool - hope we're in town for some of that weekend
interested in the rear quarter louvre/vent/duct assemblies if they don't have a home

Still need Hinges w/bearings?

Chris S told me you may need hinges w/bearings. I've got a couple I ordered up from the states if you're interested. They're brand new in the box. I'd like to sell for what I paid minus the shipping so $75 a piece. Lemme know.

Been working on some homemade sliders.

I used 1/8 2x3 box for the main frame.
1" sched 40 for the slide bit. About 1.5"o.d.
2x2 3/16 box tube for the tie backs.

I havent weighed them but they are on the heavy side. Should be plenty strong though. Here are some pics of build, mock up and paint. Ill try to get em on tomorow...

Ah geeze.... I'm high again..... got to get those chem filters for the old resperator.:hillbilly::hillbilly::cheers:

sweet
lookin good .. like rob said plates on the frame and throw some gussets in there too..

Here is the final mounting. I welded a 3,5" circle to the frame and then welded the tie back to that. Because I have a body lift the tie back angles were pretty shallow. ll gusset it if needed but I think it'll be ok this way.

Threw on some grip tape on the step points for good measure, all in all I'm happy with the outcome. Can't wait to scratch off that shiny paint

Lookin' awesome Cam! I love the sliders...mucho respecto

Anything in the works for a rear bumper/tire carrier?

Its driving me nuts where i saw it, can't remember so no link, but you should cut a wedge shaped peice of tube that sticks out on an angle that stops your foot from sliding forward on your slider as you step in. DOes that make sense? It might have been in "A fool and his money" in the LC section on pirate. Look it up anyway if you haven't seen it!

Yeah, i'm aquiring the swing out bearings and the latches as we speak. I'm going to stretch the bumper design for Morgan's 80 and perhaps Jaysons 100 series. Dont know what they will cost yet but Ill let you know when I get there. Mine will be the "guinny pig".

The 60 version will be sweet and I think Ken and Jayson are in line.

I could see that being useful indeed! Thanks for the tip, ill check that out. I stuck some grip tape on there for now and hope that will do the trick.
