All I'm seeing is a bunch of different made up excuses for not working on the LV. I suspect the honest answer is "It's football season and Clemson is 7-0. I'm riding the wave." Until 10.29. :D

Hehe...... ding ding we have a winner!!! Guess we will finally be able to get back to work after next weekend :grinpimp:

OH NO! I know how that goes... Take it easy on him JP.

Thanks Daniel, he actually made it back to work today for the first time this week so he is making progress. We should start working on the LV again next week

Really, page 2 JP.....you are letting this project slip....Clemson even had a bye weekend and no pics to post.....you did work on it right?

He's ditched his dad and decided to work on his new cruiser. Maybe we need to have a HAMOM and go help his dad finish the project.

I do hear he's been working on a dual SD40 carb setup. But that is only a rumor.

Don't worry Steve we will come help.

JP go take some aderol....your A.D.D. has hit an all time high....you can't finish one project before you start on a second.....we'll come help you Steve

LOL you fellas think it is me that is holding things up  Guess where Steve-O is this weekend, that is right his mountain house..... it is fall and this time of year he basically lives there thrusday through Monday

Our goal for this project is to make it to the 45 run next Sept. so we gotta get rolling on that body soon

Wow over a month since an update....dropped to page 2.....looks like things have stalled on this so called 45 project.....I'm beginning to wonder if the pics we have seen may have been doctored, and that there truly is no fj45.....hmmm let the doubt and rumors begin.

Steve-O and I worked on the LV all weekend for the first time in a while....... just didn't take any pictures:doh: But we were just running brake linnings so nothing worthy of a picture any ways.

The pace will become frast and furious after the holidays, we want to have it on the road for summer

Whats the update ? Its got to be clod enough to be wearing long sleeve shirts back there by now :grinpimp: Found the heater knob............No what should I ask for it ?????? :hhmm:

Okay time to revive this thread and get things rolling again. We are back on the LV full time now, and have finished up the frame and drivetrain and are onto the body. Looking forward to getting back into the swing of things and keeping the updates coming

Here are a few crappy cell phone pics of the work over the last week.... we built a make shift dolly for the body to get it into the garage for final stripping and rust removal.

Yeah I know we are in a mid-build slump

To say we suffer from ADD is an understatement as we have gotten distracted by side projects. Both being 45s though so hopefully that makes up for our neglect of this project :grinpimp:

One being a 1967 FJ45LPB that had been sitting 15+ years, and it need a new drivetrain and complete going through as well. On this one though I decided to go with a 3B diesel and H55 from a Canadian BJ60. Also new disc brake axles front and rear, and lost of other misc. items.

The other being a 1963 FJ45LV, it had been sitting for 10+ years and had to be completely gone through. We installed a correct 1F drivetrain, axles, OME springs, new brakes all round, etc. ALso we fell in love withthe patina on this LV and decided to leave it just as we found it.

Since I am showing the new 45's here are some pics and videos from their maiden voyage a few weeks back. Took them to a local off-road park to test out the 4wd, nothing serious but it did feel good to get the old girls back to their roots :D
