Great looking rig. I noticed you mounted your license plate the same way I did, so be sure to let me know if you get stopped and ticketed. Seems to me to be the most logical way to mount the plate without adding anymore hardware but I'm not sure that the local law enforcement would agree.
Cheers and Happy New Year.

Due to the bushing/spindle design, the swingouts don't swing freely. You do have to move them with a bit off effort. It's not difficult to move them, but they wouldn't swing freely on an incline. No, but it's a greased bushing not a bearing so the weight of the wheel keeps is where you put it on most small angles.
how do you have your license plate mounted? i see in one of the photos that it looks like its shifted to the right a bit? are any of the numbers blocked when the swingout is in the closed position?
im in va too and fear that with my swing out(same as you) it will be blocking my plate enough to get me pulled over. the cops in fairfax and loudoun are relentless and i'm bound to get a ticket at some point.
Does anything hold the swingouts open, or are they "on their own"?
Anything to hold them in place if you are on an incline?
