no doubt Bill. well spoken. Dustin, Bill's right. we just like to give people a hard time. I started my addiction to wheeling with a jeep. I had a 70 CJ5 with a 350 SBC. It was ok but I really prefer the uniqueness and the flat out toughness of the FJ40's and other cruisers. You are more than welcome to join us. Hopefully we'll convert you at some point. My sister still lives up in the akron area. Stow to be exact. She works for Keller Rigging.

If i could ask, why does everyone hate Jeeps so much?? I'd rather waste my energy on hating those horrible H2's and H3's. Now those are horrible... Also, how did everyone originally get into cruisers opposed to Jeeps?? Just wondering, not trying to start anything, because with what i've seen at this sight, those cruisers are pretty neat in my opinion, and yes... thats coming from a JEEP guy..

I don't think there's much hate going around. The content here is very specific and it doesn't have anything to do with jeeps.

It would be like going onto an OSU football forum to discuss all things Michigan...

In the end we all share a passion for the same sport!!!

I honestly got into cruisers by chance, just happened to find one for sale locally and bought it on a whim................ I guess what draws me to cruisers over Jeeps is the rareness of cruisers. Jeeps are a dime a dozen around most parts were as cruisers are few and far between especially the older 40 series........ it is cool having something no one else on your street does

I think JP hit it right on. Jeeps are everywhere and it seems everyone has one. I am not saying they aren't very capable rigs, because they are. It's just hard to consider it a trail rig when I sit at a stoplight next to a 16 yr old highschool girl whos daddy just got her one because it was cute or some other scenario like that. When you see a cruiser going down the road, it really gets your attention, because it's not a regular occurance. I can't drive two blocks in GSO without seeing a couple jeeps. and Like I said I used to own one. And I still love the older jeeps, like the flat fender willy's or the CJ8. I think for most of us it boils down to that. there is just something exclusive about cruisers. I am definitely not trying to put down your jeep at all. I am sure it's very capable. It's just friendly brand rib nudging as JP put it. As far as what got me into cruisers.....

I was in Washington state watching this thing wheel through 5 ft snow banks like it was a speed bump in a mall parking lot. I was hooked ever since and swore one day I would have a 40. I've had mine for a year and will never go without one.

I have mine because I wanted to wheel in safety, comfort, and with enough space for my kids and I.

I bought an 80 series...all needs met.

Because we have nothing better to do. It's not personal. We have wheeled with Jeepers before. But our Club is about Land Cruisers. There is no hate towards them. We always give a helping hand getting them out when they break.

I think thats perfectly said, we all do share the same passion, to wheel. and i'm sorry about all the jeep pics i posted, i'm really not meaning to try and turn this into a jeep sight, i know its a curiser sight, and just by being on this sight the past couple of days i've really started grow an appreciation for cruisers. I have no idea about them, but i like what i've seen so far. Who knows, mabye someday i'll have to purchase one, but for now all I have is my Jeep which I love, and all the times beating it up on the trails still has not failed me once.. Does anyone have video's of any of your wheeling adventures... Thanks again guys for not kicking the lone Jeep guy out of here yet...LOL...

Calm down Sparky, I would never try to make this a Jeep form, i just like seeing all of your pics of your cruisers so i can learn more, and i just thought i'd post a couple of my pics. At Northeastcrawlers we have all kinds of people post, even though its really for Jeeps, the only one's we dont really like are Hummers. I've driven hummers for 8 years in the Army and i hate how they try and make them all prissy. I would love for some of those prissy asses to drive a Real Hummer and see how they like it then. Anyways, sorry again, hope theres no hard feelings, just very interested in this kind of stuff.
