This is going to be an interesting topic, results. Unless the owners of this mod pony up for dyno before and after, not sure if we'll get objective results. Seat of the pants will be all we'll get. Then again, these are 20+ rigs, so not having a rusty POS exhaust barely hanging on maybe plenty for most folks.
True. Subjective will be all you get out of me. My exhaust is in poor shape so regardless of any performance increases, it needs to be done. I also like the clearance improvement as well.

I did just finish a 5,000 mile road trip across country so my "before" seat of the pant is firmly calculated.

For me, the 3 month delivery is too long. I would have had a custom exhaust done before that, but that's me. I hope this is "all that" for you!

With it being the first real order like this, the logistics had to be created. I think there are six of us in this order. If successful and this becomes an option, I don't expect future orders to take three months now that the process has been worked out. With that said, I am simply a customer and have no say in the matter.

Wait times don't really matter unless it is keeping you from driving. I just work some other mod while I wait.
Agreed, I just drove across country twice in the 80 while I waited

I dont need a exhaust yet. But being local yo ACC and knowing the quality parts and work they use i am interested in this.

When will you get this installed?

I am excited as well. I am travelling a good bit over the next few weeks so it may be mid-October realistically before I get it installed. I will definitely keep this thread going with long and short term opinions.

Any feedback on this exhaust system ??
I have been stupid busy and haven't been over to ACC to pick it up and get it installed. Brian has been very patient with me and I am hoping to get it done in the next two weeks. I will definitely update the thread as progress happens. It sounds like they even had some very positive gains with the first truck they installed the kit. They did a before/after dyno.

I called them a few weeks ago to try to get a update about how they were working out. I am also in Atlanta and would really like to take a look at it once you get it installed if possible.

Once I get mine installed I can always be talked into meeting for a beer to kick tires! I am also looking forward to seeing those before/after dyno reports from the first truck that it was installed on.

that is what i want to see. the stock manifolds arent that bad and i highly doubt you will see big numbers from them. past experience with headers has always sucked but i dealt with it for the power.

Hey, just a quick update from ACC Garage,

We installed the exhaust system on our shop 450, we did have to make some small mods to the system (we will make these changes for the next run). The dyno showed a 17.5 HP gain over the factory system. The system in my opinion was a bit on the quiet side and as you know resonators and off road don't play well, so we cut it off (after the dyno). It now has a slightly more aggressive sound, we are trying different mufflers now to dial in the aggressive sound without the droning at highway speed.

With the mods we had to make to get the proper fitment IE. O2 bung, U.S. hangers, EGR plates, no resonator we have come to the conclusion that we can provide a better system that is truly bolt on, made here in the U.S. out of ASTM A269 304 stainless steel tubing that is purge TIG welded. So that's what we are doing.

The first U.S. run will not have cats, we will do some more R&D and design a bolt in cat section for street use. For now these kits will come with the necessary parts to keep your CEL off, this coupled with our EGR exhaust plates your truck wont know the difference. We can sell these kits because they are for off road or competition use only !!

Before you say it, read this...

Did You Know...The Indianapolis 500, Daytona 500, Nascar Races, Baja 1000, Drifting, Rock Crawling and all other Professional and Amature Off Road Competitive events are exempt from The 1990 Clean Air Act. Within this Act Congress EXEMPTED "Non Road Vehicles Used Solely For Competition" ( EPA Bulletin " EPA420-F-02-045). Issued September 2002 by the EPA Office of Transportation and Air Quality. The EPA therefore adopted regulations that generally EXCLUDE from the new regulations vehicles and parts used for competition.

Once the bugs are worked out we will stock these systems and the individual components, we will sell the individual components, part systems and complete down to the last nut and bolt kits.

Best,
Dugan

It would be nice to have header that dumped into a 3" collector, vband, over the rail. Also to be tucked in for the OEM supercharger.

This would be a nice option for those who are boosted and want to finish their own cat back system to their liking.

Cans send cash now : )

what are the 'necessary parts' keeping the CEL light off?
