I have this coming from Australia. I am looking forward to seeing how well it is built and how much my 80 likes it! Supposed to be 100% bolt-on.

I don't see any Catalytic Converters.......

That's gonna mess with your ECM performance in the USA......

I also only see ONE O2 port. The 97's have 2.

Good Luck and post your results!

I think there is another O2 port on the bottom side that you can't see. Also, I forgot about the cat part. The local shop is going to add the cats to make to make the ECU happy.

I've looked at this too. I've reverted back to a Borla exhaust with the Magnaflow replacement cat. Haven't bought it yet, but that's my plan.

Post the vendor and part numbers when you can.

Then post first impressions, later then progress reports as far as sound, Butt-Dyno increase/decrease, component fit-up, component failures with mileage, driving style and such.

These types of thing really help the rest of us decide what to do when the time comes.

This is definitely not the cheapest option, but I figured my original exhaust made it 20+ years and 236k miles...so luckily this isn't an item to replace that often. Trust me, the Borla/Magnaflow setup was almost bought multiple times. Since I am a believer in "35s with stock gears", the potential extra power with the headers is very appealing.

Appears to go over the frame, nice!
Do get the over the frame exhaust factory heat shield.
Great call Phil! I had not thought about that heat shield!

That is the main reason for posting this now...to remind me to keep an updated thread in the coming years for everyone else's benefit. There are a few of us ordering these at the same time to group the shipping (although shipping something this big from AU via Air isn't cheap and you get to a point pretty quick where more quantity doesn't save any $).

I've been running those Genie headers since Feb. Only one oxygen sensor bung on the collector. Only running one sensor and no cat right now. I'm planning to put both back in soon. Runs fine with one sensor and no cat though. The rest is custom fabbed with a 50series Flowmaster and it exits behind the RR tire. Really need a resonator in there too but cruising it's not unbearably loud.

From the collector back is run under the frame. I wasn't able to get the pipe I built over the frame. Not sure if this is designed with a standard transmission in mind, but that's how it appears to me. So please let me know if you get it to work ! Because that over-the-frame routing was very alluring to me.

Also, those headers will touch the brake line bracket on the passenger side. Just FYI.

Oh, and I deleted the EGR while I was doing the head gasket. These headers have no provision for EGR. So heads up on that too.

Aaaaaannd shipping from AUSTRALIA(just headers) was like 150+ AU. So maybe 110-120$. They were less than 600$ American. I'd get them ceramic coated if I was doing it all again.

ACC Garage here in Atlanta is organizing this buy. They have had one of these systems already installed in one of their customer's trucks and I will be letting them handle all of these little install nuances. I am excited and can't wait to get it all done.

Feel free to call Brian Dugan at ACC Garage (official vendor on here) if any of you have any questions or interest. I think he may have room for one or two more in this order. He can also answer any of the install questions you may have.

The resonator interferes with most after market rear bumpers. Many of us just cut them off at the rear most turn in the tube so we don't crush them on the trail.

Smitty if you need to remove the resonator be careful if you go this route with your 4x4 labs bumper. If you dont add a turn down the exhaust blows into the corner of the bumper and makes a horrible very loud sound under hard acceleration and will melt the drain tubes that come out of the quarter panel.

That is p/n 58153-60030. Good luck on finding one. I know the guy that supposedly got the last one!
