Been raining A LOT here. The hill country is a lot worse, tragic what is happening with the floods.

I planned to build a new grill table this weekend, but with the rain and humidity, the stain is taking forever to dry. I am not going to even try the top coat until we get a day or two of dry.

So I decided to mount one of the jump seats.

I need to pull it out and bend one bracket a bit to get it back in alignment.

The other side is a different story. One of the rear holes has no nut-sert. @RevISK you mentioned having the tool, but I don't think there is enough metal to support it. May have to wait for when I remove the top and deal with the rust and other issues. Oh, and the PO bondo'd over the lower hole...probably because the support plate was bent and misaligned.

Here's the new nest for my egg if there are any eggheads out there.

Out getting dog treats and groceries like I drive this guy every day. How "normal"... :)

The seond photo I asked AI it obscure my plate with a TX flag. Just now noticing it got a little carried away with the edits. Removed my medalions, totally screwed up my spare, the lights and bumperetts are jacked.

Been driving a lot lately, mostly out getting groceries in my wife's absence. Crossed the magical 500-mile mark on the new engine, so tomorrow I will run through a tune up again. The idle has been creeping up. I am eager to check the compression numbers too. Got the door windows channel gaskets the other day from City Racer. Going to try and get them installed tomorrow.
