it so happens that i just installed the same seats but with out the heaters. i plan on redoing the upholstery and installing after market heaters,i might even consider using the bmw heater n heater switch,if i can find the factory wiring diagram, still searching. you will have to somehow trace the heater wires and wire in the switch n fuse:meh:.

its not that easy... i have the factory wiring diagram that i got from a elec. specialist here in town! from what i get from it any switch would work the trick is sending the right amount of power to the heaters and then being able to have a thermo switch that turns the power off and on when the heat gets to hot so your seats dont melt down!!

I know this is a long shot and this thread is over 2 years old, but did anyone ever figure out the seat heating element wiring set up?

I just picked up a set of 323 power heated seats for my 60 and :princess:would love for me to be able to get the heaters to work!

Thanks guys!

I'm also reviving this, as i have E49 seats with the big yellow connector on the seat.
There's a lot of info in the bimmer forums, but very little info about hooking up the seats heaters to another rig.
I think the one way for me is to find the BMW dash switches, as they produce a pwm signal to heat up the wires.
Hopefully i can just power up that bad-boy, wire it to the seats and skip the whole k-bus system.

From what i've read, theese heat pads are pretty hot, so i'd like to control them like factory, at the three stages.

Also interested in this! Looking forward to any ideas on how to hook up the heaters in a clean way.

I know this is an old thread, but I was able to figure out the green wire with yellow stripe is to the heating elements in the seats I have. My seats are from an 05 325xi. I bought the amazon two setting, round heat switches. The switches come with a ground wire attached, wired power to the center, the heat element to the two connectors on the left and right of the center connection. I wired the power from the passenger seat heater connection. I got some advice from Nick and Adam at Torfab before I started. I had a tough time figuring out the heater lead and though I'd share. On my seats, the heater wire was a larger gauge, 12?, that may help if the colors are different.

Bright yellow wiring can be for side-airbags, if your seat is so equipped, so be VERY careful what you apply 12+ to!
