If you are paranoid about rust you should buy some cans of Eastwood inner frame coating. This stuff is awesome and between the POR 15, another coat of chassis black from POR, and the Eastwood inner frame coating, you are way better off than powder coat. IMO.

chances actually are that you do have ADD. Last year at 48 years old.......figured out I have ADD all my life....12 hours latter I was on Adderall.....it was like someone hit the easy button

And....I have not drug home anymore cruisers in the last year....actaully thinking of selling a few

I went nuts and did many LC just like your doing..........had 17 at one point, now back to 10....thats a sane number I think ;)

super 60....enjoy!

ADD/ADHD = combined in the new DSM, just a +/- toward one end of the spectrum or the other. Yes, I'm ADHD and have been since early childhood. It was a deficit when I was younger - a solid bonus now that I have it somewhat on a short leash. The OCD only comes out in work, projects, tasks, or competition, lol. Adderall was a saving grace but forbidden in the military (back then; now it's allowed for the most part). I educated myself, started trying different methodologies and was eventually able to control it without daily meds. I still have moments - usually when things are slow - that I'll have to reset but for the most part, I've been on cruiser control for 5+ yrs. I love it, to be honest, b/c my mind is still sharp and at 46, I can still run, jump, bike, fight, ski, etc. with kids half my age. And. . .I an multitask like a SOB =)

I'm in DENIAL!!! I refuse to believe I have some adverse condition that could be the cause of my profits and fun times in my life ;). Many "claim" it as a crutch/disability...... Not that this is the case for all... but the case for MOST I've encountered... Good on you Shane.. NOW! grab a beer and get to wrenching BEYOTCH!

HAPPY NATIONAL BEER DAY BROTHERS!

J

I'ts national beer day?!?!?! I gotta drink to that.

It's funny, best way i've found to manage my ADHD to just take on more projects/stuff to day. Slow = wandering mind. I tried Rit...but it did nothing....buddy of mine who was in the MLB (up and down from the minors to the bigs for good part of 8 years) had tried it (guess its very popular in baseball, since you just need to get "diagnosed"). Said it took his concentration to another level...but just wore him down...figured I didn't want to bother with it.

It was a huge asset to me in college, having to balance school with hockey...no time to screw around had to be either at practice, game, or studying so that I didn't screw up my eligibility or GPA.

Shane, how did you apply the POR with the body on? On your back with a roller, on Jacks, a lift maybe? Roll it or spray it?

On my back, squatting, knees; no jack/lift; rolled & brushed. Once we do the body mounts, I'll get the top part. I power washed as best as possible, then sprayed a degreaser, soaked, literally scrubbed the frame by hand, washed with lemon detergent, let dry, used something my body shop gave me for a final wipe. Then rolled & brushed x 2 coats.

K - agree/disagree but regardless, the prescriber didn't do his/her job with you. Fly down and come see me =)

A little more progress on/in the engine bay:

Firewall, inner fenders and front half of frame to commence this weekend. Woo hoo. . .

Shane

I really hope you steam cleaned that block multiple times... You'll regret just painting over grime. Ask me how I know.

With my recent experiences I wouldn't paint an engine block unless it was out of the car.

Shane was probably scrubbing it with a tooth brush.

K - yes, damn it, I was. Degreased, scrubbed, degreased again, scrubbed again, used another mixture my shop made for me, scrubbed again. Fingers crossed, we'll see how well it holds =)

Picked-up some freshly powder coated parts and start the wonderful job of cleaning wires/connections in the engine bay.
