Put my factory plastic fan into the radiator of my FJ55 yesterday at the Coal Miner Cruiser Classic- big hole!!! I need a new rad. Didn't see any listed on either Sepcter or JT Outfitters sites. Anyone suggest where to look for a new one? Gotta get the pig back on the road!! Thanks for any suggestions....Gary S

I have a spare I'd sell but youd still have to get it patched at a rad shop cause it has a pinhole in it that leaks. I think youd be good to try and get your fixed first.

Try having your local radiator shop rebuild the one you have...

These seem iffy to come by.

I think there is a Dodge Trail Duster application that comes close, but I have never been able to verify.

Yup, just get yours redone. I upgraded mine to a 4-core when I did it.

Gary...

I had a perfect one for you, until mine met with the fan at Coal Miner as well :)

I'll be checking on the cost to get mine repaired and I'll let you know...

Bummer Gary just sold one and I feel like I owe you from a check you never cashed for some parts 3 or 4 or so years ago :) Anyway, I bought a 19" wide radiator from speedwaymotors.com for $160 and that worked pretty well. Aluminum heavy duty and all welded, not an epoxy like the cheaper summit radiators and such.. You will have to build custom mounting for it though (so light fab might be required). Hope it helps.. I have an aluminum one that the PO put in, I think it was from Man-a-fre.

Pig up and running with rebuilt radiator

Afetr looking at various options I decied to have my original radiator redone. Tunnessen's in Hazleton PA did it0 they're about five miles from Paragon. They ordered a new 4 row core and rebuilt my rad with it. Damn thing works great so far. I flushed the engine and heater core real good before hooking up the rad and ran the 55 a bit today temp stayed where it always used to. An expensive lesson- cost me $391- but ought to outlast me.
