There are plenty of hy-steer kits for a 40 series and a 60 series, but I have a 40 series with a front 60 series axle (widened my body spring mounts) and 60 series steering box.

What my problem is, my drag link is longer an a 40's and shorter than a 60's. All the kits I have seen do not work for my configuration unless they are willing to make a custom drag link. (although I was able to crank down the threads on the stock 60 drag link to make it short enough to fit on my 40)

For those guys running SOA 40's with 60 series steering and axles, what hy-steer kit are you using and what if any modifications were needed for the drag link?

What brand of hysteer arms are you currently running?

I know for a fact that Luke Porter at 4x4 labs will make you whatever you need.

Top notch products from a very good man.

I would like to go with Marlin's. He is local and a club member of mine but his guys said they didn't have anything that would work, but I haven't had the chance to talk to him personally yet. I looked at Luke's. Very good product, but also very steep in price.

Since I have a bit of an 8 ball set-up, I wanted to know if anyone else was able to get a complete kit since the prices are a bit lower when buying all together.

Proffitt's can make one too. They are moving to thier new shop, but something like that only takes a few minutes.

If you can just get it to fit, then cut the ends off a little bit. Cut more on the left hand thead side though, a local shop is more likely to have that tap. I have had a few beers so talk to a shop first.

x2

I have a 40 with 60 axles and run Luke's stuff. It's excellent in every way and can supply exactly what you need.

Thanks guys. I'll look into that! I also found out that Georg (orangefj45) from FC Fabrication in Stockton, CA might be able to help me too.

George is rad too.
Either 4x4 labs (from what I hear) and george (know first hand) will be very safe routes to take.

I am running 4x4 labs stuff on my 40 with 60 axles. Well worth the money for a great product with even better customer service.

another vote for 4x4labs

wouldnt recomend anything else

I have a SOA 40 with 60 knuckles and brakes. Any of the guys mentioned above should be able to get you whatever you need, just give them measurements. I'm running Marlins stuff purchased from Georg (Orangefj45). Its all pretty well custom, they just need to cut at 1 mark instead of another.

Thanks guys. I will be getting the knuckles and ends from Georg and Marlin is a member in my club. I will have him make the rods for me.
