Few more of the bumper. Originally I did not see the rotation hole as it was full of muck and flush with the surface, once cleaned out it shows in lower left corner.

Wow, did not realize how many of us are in need of the small bumper's. Definitely need them as it makes a very loud BANG when opened and (accidently) dropped. I ordered one Dorman 31061 just to see if it will work. It looks as it can be shaped to what the Toyota bumper looks like.
fJ4ever84, if you are wiling (up to you) I to would be interested in a set.
Will post how the Dorman part works out.

Bumper Update

I received the test replacement Dorman control arm bushing to see if it is a good candidate for a tail gate bumper.
As you can see from the photos it is a large bumper that will over lap the original install area and one of the mount holes needs to be enlarged and moved for the stop plug.
You can see the size difference and shape difference.
I had my helper hold up the tailgate to see what angle it sits when rested on the bumper and it actually is pretty decant. Sorry no photo. It is a pretty solid piece of rubber so shaving it would not be impossible but as from what I can see it is a very good candidate just as it is. Yes holes will have to be drilled but that's minor compared to not having any bumper at all.
I see we still have some folks looking for the original so I will hang in there until something more come along, but I definitely will consider this part.
Cirbo I am still looking into the McMaster-Carr inventory and they have some pretty good canidates also.

I was trying to found it all this time. I did found 4 of them only ;(. I order all of them. I asked for more , I was told I have to do an order. Which I don't know how long it will take.

Yes Miker, I too was thinking it was a little smaller but as I said it looks as if it can work. I will wait to see what transpires with what fJ4ever84 can find or someone else.

The FJ76 2012 come with rubber. Did you guys consider using it!!
