MYSTERY SWITCH... Need Help

Need help identifying this switch.... What is it and what does it do? On the right side of the glove box. See part number 8 on diagram and attached pic



I know that 50/51 is for a drop light so I have read. But not sure of the switch. Does it turn it on?

It's for the Dash/Interior light that was in that other hole. Your rig may have been a factory soft top. (?)

My hardtop Is the same color of the rest of the truck but so is the paint on top of the bondo. I have found evidence of a soft top but no way to confirm. Also my windshield is for a 58-69 with the vent in it. Top was welded to it. Wouldn't there be roll bars for the soft top? Anyways if it's for a dome light then thanks for the answer.

No. Droplight socket is always hot.

Thanks. Are those interior switches in the all the models, hard and soft tops? Or just soft tops?

If that's the case then I guess my top was added and painted at some point.
