Got my shiny new cabin floor.
But I wonder what happened here.
Afraid to grind it and look..

The plug in the rocker looks aftermarket. Unless it's a 6/78-1/79. It wouldn't have those plugs. Up to 6/78 rockers did not have the plugs. 1/79 on the A pillar was different. Pull out the plug might find the rocker has a film of foam to help prevent rust. My 73 FST came with a 72 hard top and doors. One hard top side has a badge from a dealer in Missouri. Hard top sides have yellow plugs with Z Bar which I guess is some sort of rust protection. Not sure if is a process used Columbia to help prevent rust?

I could find out if it's a pre 6/78 I have all the numbers ...somewhere. Check out my profile pic, that's the floor. I'll check with the local clubs, there's a huge build community here. The LCs were imported topless, s Colombian manufacturer made andinstalled them, two companies, mine's an MPR.

I'm going to go ahead and assume it's after market and go look for a real one...

..do you mean the rocker panel? I've seen those plugs - somewhere

By the wobling of the steel on the door post, it seems like the door post got hit and moved inside against the floor board

It"s beter to look from under

I will.
That passenger side door got moved up an inch when a guy backed into it while I had it open. That happened after the weld though. I had to replace the door.
Might have bent the post.

Have you dated your production date based on the VIN? The hole with the plugs began 6/78. The way the A pillar is built looks pre 1/79. Three plug per side is what Toyota used. Unless it was built the last half of 1978 probably wouldn't have the three holes. Being only on one side would indicate a rocker replacement on one side.

I have plugs on the interior rocker panel of my body - 3 plugs per side - NA build date 2/78 - but I know there was some exterior rocker work done before I got it. I don't think the body was ever off the frame until I did it.

Here is an original plug (afaik): 90950-01022B. The "B" is inset.

I am basing the plugs off a rocker panel part number change 6/78. The previous part number goes from 9/75-6/78. I have an extremely low mileage 10/75 that has an original tub with original paint that does not have the plugs. I have 11/78 cowl that has section of the floor/rocker behind it that has the plugs.

Good to know the build dates.👍

Looks like the plugs I have are a supersession too.
