Nice work. Look forward to seeing progress as my motor is in pieces now and will be going back together with forced induction in it's future.

The engine is ready to be installed for the most part. All I need to do is order the lines and it's all done.

I decided that I wanted to use all stainless braided lines with AN fittings. You need to cut into the oil pressure line and water line.

On the water line I had a AN bung welded onto the supply neck and I welded a 1/4" NPTF saddle flange onto the heater return line.

For the oil line I used an 1/8" NPTM x 1/8" BPST adapter to thread into the oil cooler and a "T" fitting. From there I installed the pressure gauge and an -AN3 x 1/8" NPTM adapter.

The oil retun line is an -AN 10 bung welded onto the side of the upper oil pan.

I also had a spot on the manifold to drill and tap for an EGT sensor. I drilled and tapped that to 1/8" NPTF for the sensor itself.

here are a few picks of the EGT sensor

That is sexy.

Wow Rick, congratulations on an awesome job! That looks practically factory. I bet you can't wait to get in in the truck!

Keep an eye on that T adapter you are using for the oil feed. Those T adapters have a tendency to crack after a while with the vibration of the motor + the weight/pressure of the line/sensor connected to it. Sometimes they last a long time though, still a good idea to check it every once in a while.

I'm actually thinking about making my own adapter. I don't like how things are positioned with that thing. It's simple enough to do but like everything else it adds more time.

Looks great! Love to swing by some time with a few cold ones and check it out.

Wow Rick! You are almost done and it looks absolutely amazing. Can't wait for the first running report!:cheers::cheers:

look super nce and clean! Rick, I have reread most of the threads on this development but wanted to confirm a couple of things, are you still planning on using your new MAF and the stock system for fuel management? and what have you decided to do for the exhaust?

Cheers Peter

Yes I'm using the new MAF and stock system unless something proves other wise. That has been working for people but on other turbos so I don't see any reason why it shouldn't for me.

I need to do something on the exhaust side. I want to go right up to a 3" exhaust and am leaning toward the one that is available from Partsco. That one is for a diesel turbo'd 80 so I will need to cut in O2 sensors and a Cat. My finger has been on the buy button a few times but I just haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Thanks Shawn. It's been a long road but completely enjoyable for me. I have to admit it will be bitter sweet once it's done and running. While driving around with it will be very cool the whole design/engineering of it will be over and I find that to be the most enjoyable part of these projects.

Well I can't wait until you shake it down and give me my shopping list... :D Looks f-ing awesome!!!

As for the exhaust, I have been running the Partsco 3" from the cats back for over a year and a half now and it is holding up well! It's not the quality of the EMS exhaust but, it is good for mild steel. Just thought I would share since you are thinking of it. The other thing it was at my door in four days from Australia. Not to shabby I think!
