Also is a sample .. about the really bad peformance of MTR tires on mud ..

Hey Tapage,

Looks like some good old fashion fun.
Pulling out of a creek/river up a muddy bank is always a challange.

Sucks to see that Jeep make it so fast.
I hope it had to try more than once.

i like the Diahatsu rugger sprung over removeable top. it sounded liek a gasser under the hood. yes? no?
don't kid yourselves those Jeep Cherokees are very capable rigs in the right hands.

I think it came down to the width of the 60 over the Cherokee that first run, plus the springs being a bit too bouncy. Cherokee managed to stay on track, your 60 moved out onto the grass - I noticed that MT tyres don't work well at all on grass.

I did used to like my Cherokee - especially on sand, howevr the fuel consumption and the fragility of the axles and gearbox compared to the strength of the engine put me off it. Very capable machine though - mind you most of the Jeep products are.

Great video. The JDM 80 looked nice as well.

Not proud to say .. but the Perokee up this wall in 2 times .. more rpm's and General 33"grabber tires .. by far better mud tires that I know ..

I'm sure is I put a set of those in my Tencha .. I can up this hill at first time .. no doubts ..

Gold Boy .. I'm not a fishing expert .. ( for sure no ) but I never go to gish in this river .. so BBQ is really good food for me .. ( steaks . ! )

Were you running street pressure in those tires, or were you aired down?

Seems like the pressure was high, from what I could tell in the video.....

That the serious mud. It totally balded out the tires it caked into the grooves so hard.

Yap .. at this time maybe 20 PSI .. that is to high IMOP .. but with those MTR aired down to 12PSI ( usuall y my trail tire pressure ) don't make much diference.

Are by far .. bad tires in mud ..

I think the main thing that helped the jeep get up easily and your 60 not so easily was the tires. in the video, his were nice and cleaned out most of the time, and your's looked really caked up with mud. Cool videos, too! I'd love to come down there and so that stuff.
