I was going to go with the same bed-liner... Tracy from Painters supply in Salem said that the colors should match perfectly. Not sure why it looks any different?:hhmm: On the flip side I think it looks good!

To make a long story longer...I've used them and got my truck registered in Maine then was instructed to take registration to KY Dept of Motor Vehicles. However, since the truck is an out-of-state vehicle it needs to be inspected by the sherrif and sheriff won't inspect it until everything is back together :bang:

Door Rust

Im currently hunting some new front doors as mine are pretty bad off.

I found these and the seller claims it is only surface rust for $250 + shipping.

Im wanting opinions...is this bad or fixable?

I might be able to sand blast, treat with POR or equivalent and paint. What do you guys think?

I would hold off for a better set.... but that is me...... if they were $100 and you could just go pick them up... fine...... but you will be working to get those looking nice.... mine were not even close to that bad and still required me to do welding.

Looks like a fun project- rough start but that seems to be buttoned up by now. Jealous of the tub!

Flat- hmmm I'd paint it gloss and drive it for 30 years to get the perfect flat finish..

Just a thought about paint though- if you think the mix is off- even if you like it- you may need to reproduce it someday on down the road in the event of body damage. I had this happen with another car I restored. The mix was off a bit and I liked it better so we went with it. No major damage yet but if there is then I'll be screwed.

Pete.

Ive thought of that. I did go talk to the paint store and asked if the possible that the tintable bedliner would "throw off" the color once applied.

The answer was "yes, absolutely." I believe the bedliner was a grayish tint before the tint was added.

We pulled the tub out of the shop into the sunlight and now the color appears to be more like Fashion Green, shown in the middle. I was going for the Olive 6H9 on the left. :meh:

Man, I do like those rims. Nice wife. Let us know what size space you use (if any) up front.

If you can attach another picture of the wheels a little more straight on, instead of at an angle, I can re-attach a new picture....
