Those look very nice Legion! I'd definitely buy two of them off of ya as I'm sure they are spendy. It's probably better to distribute the load onto two switches anyway.
This weekend i'll be tearing down the intake for the third time. sigh. It seems to go quicker everytime though. have a great New Year! Can't believe it's 2012 already.

They ain't for sale, bud. To you... they're free. PM me an address and I'll rocket 'em up your way over the weekend.

Thanks again for that heater!

They were delivered to the Post Office in a Priority Mail carton on the 31st... but I'm guessing that even w/ prio delivery there might be a delay in the way mail was handled over the holiday. Might even be some residual fallout from the Christmas rush, too.

Either way though you should have two switches in hand very soon.

Very cool! I'm looking forward to getting them.:bounce:

I had some time Monday to work on the rig, so I installed a new to me intake/ exhaust manifold. My old one definitely had a problem (see pic). Hopefully this will cure my stumbling/hesitation issue that was somehow made worse by the carb rebuild?!?
The manifold was machined in the lower 48 by 3puppies machinist, so it should be good. I had to clean a TON of debris out of the bugger from the machinist, but it was in good shape otherwise.
Also, I got my ham radio in, so I'll be trying to figure out the best way to install it sometime in the near future. I have the amature radio license coming up here soon, so I'll be studying for it as opposed tp working on the rig.

Got a little time in between games (GO NINERS!!) to work on the Cruiser. Installed and mostly finished wiring a CB and HAM radio. I'll post pics once I tidy the wiring up a bit.
Got the final parts for the swingouts, so I'll be getting back to those finally.
Tonight I'll hopefully get some time to fab up a simple switch panel for the lights and run some wires to the lights.

Here's a few pics of the stuff I got done this last week.
Lights are all wired in with switches courtesy of legion(Thanks man)
A Yeasu 7900 Dual Band HAM wired in with a detachable face installed above the rearview mirror with a fabbed up bracket.
The CB is installed in the center console.
Both antennas are run up to the front bumper. Not an ideal ground plane, but I can't mount them anywhere else without hitting my garage door.

Here's the pics!

looks good, what center console is that?

Thanks,
It's a Smittybuilt Console originally for a J**P, but all you have to do is drill a couple of holes on the floor and it bolts right up. It is really nice to have the armrest and has a ton of room for stuff. I've got the cb fabbed ino the DIN slot, the HAM radio body bolted under the armrest, a holster bolted in next to the HAM, and still have room for spare parts.
Best of all, I only spent $100 for it on Amazon. There is a comprehensive thread for the install somewhere in the 60 section. It's a great cheapish mod.

Went out this weekend looking at land and snapped a few poser pics. Got stuck in the snow about 10 minutes after I took these pics. Not fun with no trees to winch from. Fortunately a F-350 came by to give me a tug.

My pleasure!... and that truck is turning out beautifully. I'm amazed that you've put so much care into it and so quickly. Very nice.

Thanks Mike, I really enjoy wrenching on it. Hopefully I can get the gears rolling on the swingouts soon, and once that's done I think I'll take a break from working on it for a while. Many honey-do projects have been put on hold because of this thing. :p

Is there an air locker or two in your future?:D

Shhh! My wife reads this thread.;) Air lockers are gonna be quite a ways out at this point. Too much $$$. I was thinking about lockers quite a bit while trying to shovel the 60 out. Someday...

I got the lights aimed tonight and thought I'd post a few pics.
Pic1- headlights only
Pic2-roofrack lights
Pic3-All the HIDs in unison

It kicks out some SERIOUS light now. The only problem I have is my headlights look really dim when going from the HIDs to headlights only. Some sort of headlight upgrade is in the future after my bank account calms down a bit.

installed a block heater, oil pan heater, tranny pan heater, and a battery tender. Here's some pics of that as well as the then..uh ugly engine bay. I can't believe that radiator lasted that trip! What was I thinking?

I just put in a block heater but would like to winterize my trucks more than I have in the past. All this is probably not too uncommon in the interior but a little newer to me.

Could you tell me where you got your oil pan heater and tranny heater and throw up some pictures of them if you can. I never heard of a tranny pan heater.

I was also thinking of putting in a radiator hose heater too. I like your 4 way plug junction box.

What type of battery tender do you have? any info on set up would be appreciated.

I have also heard of battery insulators or warmers, any info on what that is or where to get one?

And lastly, I like your radiator cover. I just had a new thermostat put in and a radiator and heater flush but I could still use some more heat. Where did you get yours? Did you install it yourself or have a shop do it? If you did it yourself could I get some close up pictures of it. How does it attach?

I will be happy for any info to help.....it's cold out!

Solid work so far, good on you! So jealous of the snow too - it was 42C here today, so thats about 108 F

So thats what high noon looks like up there... ;)

If only the lights put out heat... Someday soon we'll see the actual sun, but these will suffice for now. We are gaining over 42 minutes of light a week now, so that's something.

Thanks, Wanna trade places for awhile? It's supposed to be -50F or colder the next few days. This is the coldest Winter I can remember. We've had -20 or colder for many weeks now. It's getting a little old...
